A Leg To Stand On Rocks For Good at Free Virtual Global Rocktoberfest

NEW YORK – Thursday, October 22, 2020 – A Leg To Stand On (ALTSO) will feature more than 15 bands from New York, Chicago, London, and Paris, at their first ever Virtual Rocktoberfest event tonight, Thursday, October 22nd at 7pm ET. The event is free to attend, by simply registering at altsorocks.org.

ALTSO’s Rocktoberfest bands will be performing in a round-robin format throughout the night. The lineup includes: Acoustic Karma, ALTSO All Stars Chicago, ALTSO All Stars London, ALTSO All Stars New York, Dimmerswitch, Lee Betsill & Tom Jirgal, Luba Dvorak, Matt Scharpf, New York Rock Exchange, No Direction, The Overgrounds, Pete Muller & The Kindred Souls, Rooftop Trees, The Cause, The Warriors From Mars, and The Wrong Boys. Meet the bands.

Event proceeds will ensure ALTSO’s CoolKids receive the free treatment they need to maintain their mobility, and all the opportunities that provides, including education, future gainful employment, and independence. Proceeds will also go towards ALTSO’s COVID-19 Reopening Fund to equip their programs with proper PPE and sanitizing equipment needed to operate safely in areas where the risk of infection is particularly high.

“Cboe has been a proud sponsor of ALTSO’s Rocktoberfest events for eight years and continues to be dedicated to ALTSO’s beneficiaries,” said Sharon Stanciel, Director, Political & Civic Affairs of Cboe. “We look forward to rocking out with Rocktoberfest band ‘No Direction’ and the others who have contributed their talents to this incredible cause.”

Alongside Cboe, event sponsors include Back in the Game Therapy, Belvedere Trading, CME Group, Element Capital, Eurex, Gate 39 Media, Grassi CPA, Intercontinental Exchange, JLL, Morgan Stanley, The OCC, Quanteam, Sandler Capital, Tito's Handmade Vodka, Wedbush, Wells Fargo, Wilshire Phoenix and more!

“Supporting A Leg To Stand On’s CoolKids is at the core of Wilshire Phoenix as we support them both as a Rocktoberfest sponsor, and throughout the year,” said Bill Herrmann, Managing Partner of Wilshire Phoenix. “We are committed to helping provide for life-changing treatments through ALTSO for years to come.”

Tonight’s event will be a unique combination of a virtual concert and interactive features such as a live chat, photo booth, games for kids and the whole family, and more. Plus, for the first time ever, you’ll hear directly from ALTSO’s CoolKids on what mobility means to them. The event’s signature “impact installation” is proudly sponsored by Intercontinental Exchange.

Event Registration sponsor OCC said, “OCC is proud to once again sponsor the good work of ALTSO, and the registration for their first free, virtual Rocktoberfest,” said John Davidson, OCC CEO. “While we will miss rocking together in person in Chicago, we are united with ALTSO’s advocates around the world in supporting their mission to bring desperately needed orthopedic care to children and families in need.”

Paysafe is sponsoring the event’s signature Glow campaign and matching donations up to $15,000. “The work the ALTSO team does has a life-changing impact on children’s lives all over the world and Paysafe is extremely proud to once again be able to play a small part in making that happen. I hope this week’s Rocktoberfest event raises some much needed funds for this awesome charity,” said Philip McHugh, CEO, Paysafe.

New Rocktoberfest sponsor, JLL, will be presenting the event’s virtual photo booth, allowing attendees to capture their favorite moments. Peter Riguardi, Chairman and President, New York Region said, “We are excited to sponsor ALTSO’s Rocktoberfest for the first time to raise critical support for so many children in need of treatment, and help them access all the opportunities mobility offers. We hope that you’ll join us in rocking out with your whole family. Make sure to snap some photos in our photo booth to remember the night!”
