Meet the Band. The Wrong Boys.
Author: ALTSO Staff
Every year across the country our Rocktoberfest musicians Rock For Good to raise awareness - and critical funds - for our CoolKids. From now until October 22nd, we'll be highlighting the musicians who will be rocking virtually with us at this year's Rocktoberfest.
Up this week: The Wrong Boys from Chicago featuring Tommy Biondo, Joe Izzo, Rob Martin, Steve Staszak
How long has The Wrong Boys been supporting ALTSO?
Since 2012 in Chicago. Steve joined Ray McKenzie in support of several bands in NYC going back to 2010.

How did The Wrong Boys get started?
Just three buddies getting together circa 2002 to drink beer and play rock-n-roll. Joe, our lead singer, joined in 2007.
How did The Wrong Boys get involved with ALTSO? What does ALTSO mean to you?
Our involvement intersects thru Steve and Ray McKenzie. It was a great opportunity to showcase the band and to raise money for an awesome charity - all at the same time. The band is 100 percent behind ALTSO. It’s our charity of choice.
What is The Wrong Boys' favorite song to perform?
Probably our cover of the Beatles "We Can Work It Out”. The music and vocals are spot-on, and it’s a crowd pleaser. Everyone sings along on that one.

What is The Wrong Boys favorite venue to perform at?
Downtown Chicago it would be City Winery. In the suburbs, it would be Krapils Steakhouse.
What band do you emulate/channel?
One part of the band channels the Beatles, the other channels Cheap Trick. It seems to work well.
Do The Wrong Boys have any pre-Rocktoberfest (or post-Rocktoberfest) band rituals?
Two shots of vodka and two shots of scotch.
What is The Wrong Boys favorite ALTSO performance memory?
The audience’s warm reception and participation every year. It really pumps the adrenaline. No other show comes close.
How is The Wrong Boys preparing for this year's virtual Rocktoberfest?
Virtually and remotely, along with a Zoom call now and then.
