3-year-old Bagas, born as a conjoined twin, has shown incredible strength and resilience throughout his young life.
Bagas' parents made the tough decision to have their twins undergo separation surgery, hoping for a better life for both of them. Unfortunately, a complication after the surgery revealed a leak in Bagas' heart valve, which led to tissue death in his leg.
The situation was extremely critical, and to prevent further damage, the decision was made to amputate Bagas' left leg. This was an incredibly tough choice for his parents, but they knew it was necessary to ensure Bagas overall well-being and future mobility.
After the surgery, Bagas' parents were unable to afford the prosthetic Bagas needed, leaving him with limited mobility. Despite this, Bagas' spirit remained unyielding, and he continued to embrace his playful and active nature, finding immense joy in playing with his twin brother.
Thanks to your incredible support, this year Bagas received a below-knee prosthetic leg through our program with Yakkum! This life-changing development has provided Bagas' parents with solace and renewed hope for their son's future.
With time, perseverance, and the support of our dedicated team, Bagas is gradually learning to stand and walk.
With your continued support, we promise to be there every step of the way as Bagas continues to grow. Your generosity and compassion is making a lasting impact on Bagas' life.
Thank you for being a part of Bagas' incredible journey towards a brighter future.
