Five year old Mohamed was born with congenital abnormalities. Unable to walk, Mohamed's only source of mobility was to painfully crawl on his hands.
This year, Mohamed's parents brought him to our program with Diversity Action Network in Somaliland where he was provided with his first appropriately fitted wheelchair.
Mohamed now moves independently, with ease and comfort. Mohamed's dream - to attend the nearby school like other kids his age - will become reality. Going to school means having the tools to succeed, as well as make friends, and mostly simply, be a kid.
The right wheelchair provides the ability to move and the option to dream!
